Prauge windtunnel

As a long-term old skydiver that makes no more than 40 jumps per year. I decided to go training in a tunnel to improve my horrible free-flying body.

15 years ago I was into freestyle jumping but felt a bit lonely so I swop to FS belly jumping instead, that’s not my passion so I’m now back to the artistic. What I didn’t know was that my body did not remember anything at all from free style jumping… Back to square one as a frustrating beginner…

Low-cost airline 130€ to Prague, low-cost hotel 2 nights 50€ and first-class flying with coaching 770€ -here I come!

I started with some slippery belly-flying with coach Smögen and then moved to back-flying with coach Jome. Oh dear… I felt like my body transferred into a shape of a refrigerator as soon as I entered the tunnel.

I had 60 min of flying time that was split into 4 x 15 min sessions and then your in the tunnel for 1,5 min each session and coaching in between.

60 min flying is 60 jumps, in blue helmet is Sonya M

Lots of bruises, stiff neck and back pain, I upgraded myself from a refrigerator to a fluffy duck - but the happiest flying fluffy duck ever!

Before heading back home I had some great hours in beautiful Prague some some sightseeing and beer. I will abselutely come back to the amazing tunnel in Prague

As a skydive judge in artistic events its so good to learn the details of how hard it is to fly and control your body. Next tunnel event will be in the tunnel in Bedford Bodyflight World Challenge in april - but this time as a Judge…
