Preparing for the Swedish Skydive Filmfestival 2012

Tomorrow more than 140 swedish skydivers will come together at Bio Rio, a big cinema in Stockholm. First there will be a show of all videos and voting. Later the winners will be presented and celebrated. I will be there to represent Sweetliving and TonFly. We are Sweden's only TonFly retailer and are proud to present TonFly as top sponsor of the event!

So at the moment Im preparing tomorrows gifts and packing all that might be needed for a long and fun day, and of course for he nights party! So many friends I havent seen since season ended, cant wait til it starts again :) Its countdown...

Where I live, in Uppsala, we skydivers are actually very good meet up almost weekly. We can e.g. eat dinner together, go for a beer, have a chocolate try out, dz party (at an empty snowy dz), go to cinema etc etc. Tonight we will do the famous cutaway drinking game.... You know it? You watch the (funny) movie Cut Away, and drink every time they say: cutaway, dropzone, whuffo or you see the GoFast logo and 1-800-skydive. This can end with very happy skydivers. Depending on what you drink ;)

Tonight I'll better stay to water and coke, I need to get up early tomorrow to be there in time and prepare as much as possible...

Seasons change for boards

Its now the big seasons change in Stockholm for my boards.

Summertime is longboarding, wintertime its snowboarding and in between its monsterboard or some call it dirtboard.

Its now too many wet leefs on the ground for longboarding and that is soooooo sad.

So time to put the wonderful longboards away and bring up the snowboards, witch is not half as fun as longboards.

My favorite longboard is the Swedish brand Kahalani, with the board made of chestnut tree and extra big wheels for smoth cruising in city traffic.

Sometimes I have my 8 year old son sitting on the front of the board and Im standing on the back, he have his own

longboard but is too lazy and want to sit on mine like a taxi... hmmmm

My husband and daughter also have a longboard each and its wonderful cruising around and go for picnics or just transport yourself around the city.

Last week I took my son to the park for a lesson in dirtboarding.

The most amazing advantage in riding the dirtboard for a 42 year old mother is the HANDBREAK... I love the handbreak...!!!

It can be scary sometimes when it gets to very high speed with longboards, snowboards and dirtboards, but the handbreak... wow am I happy...

He of course was flying down without using the handbreak

Leaving Cape Town

Sitting in the Lounge in Johannesburg on my way back to Stockholm again sipping my last holiday GT.

What a positive surprise this country and town was! First experience the Political heart of Johannesburg with the history of apartheid and then the complex history of South Africa, however for the fun part of South Africa is Cape Town, Jo-Burg as great shops, Restaurants and Jazz music but also very much the Commercial heart and soul of SA not the adrenaline fun side which I came for.

Cape Town is the place to get the ultimate holiday for an adrenaline person like me, they have great skydiving even if I passed it this weekend, diving, shopping, trekking, all kind of sports and activities and amazing nature.

It’s cheaper than Europe and much cheaper than Stockholm (apart from skydiving where Sweden is still one of the cheapest place to skydive)

The party life was great with lots of bars, discos, and live music, mostly on Longstreet but also at Camp Bay

Negative bits were the beggars, I always get annoyed with beggars, and tourists give them money and therefore it’s very beneficial for them, so they are everywhere, and they can spot foreigners from a distant.

The ocean is not warm, not even in peek summer, I hate cold water… Bring a wetsuit!

Taxi through town 10 min was 6€
Pooch dinner with first class meat and wine was 30€
Normal lunch 4,2€
Coffee was 1,2€
Sharkdiving was 53€ in the Aquarium tank
Sharkdiving in a cage in the ocean full day was 140€
Hotels its good for all kinds of wallets, we had a five star designers hotel Villa Zest with only 7 rooms and fantastic service and cost 135€ including breakfast per night.

Oh dear, I’m still so full of adrenaline.

I manage to get to dive in Two Oceans Aquarium by the Water Front in Cape

Town. They have a 2 million liter seawater tank full of Sharks, mantas, fishes and turtles

I met with the dive master at 10.45 for short instructions and to put on the diving gears. You have to have an open water diving license to be able to dive there. I was very nervous and of course my diving gear was broken, first the regulator, then the o-ring and the buckle to my weight belt broke and almost fell of on a turtle. After a lot of frustration I finally sat on the bottom of the tank and tried to relax with a shark bumping my head with her tailfin, relax… relax… breath slowly, I knew it was a she, because the dive master pointed her out before we went in and she had a big scratch on the side

– Don’t get close to her, she will not bite, she has been fed, but she’s a bit bitchy, he said. I notice…! That bump got my mask full of saltwater.

With the GoPro camera on my hand wrist I got some nice films, not brilliant since its my first time using it under water. I was filled with a humble love for the beautiful creatures swimming around me. I big joy apart from diving in this amazing aquarium was to see my husband and more than a hundred visitors behind the glass waving at me, I got so exited that I didn’t see a huge manta approaching me, it took me by surprise that I lost control and fell on my back onto the ground, I started to laugh my ass off, it was so funny and once again I got my mask filled with saltwater

I can go on and on about this 30 minutes dive, every little detail was absolutely amazing
- all of you that have dive license please go there, it’s a memory for life! Sweetling David and all sharkscared people, this is a fantastic way to learn to get to know them, we are on the bottom list their menu

I left the aquarium 13.30 with a huge smile, a shark tooth I picked from the bottom of the tank, and ordered fish for lunch, how bizarre!!!!………

WOW what a place, they got everything!

Adventure, beauty, nature, good food, a wild mix of people and cultures, buzz and chill.

Yesterday I left Johannesburg after a very emotional journey though the history of the blacks of South Africa and their hard struggle. Coming from a safe and secure country of Sweden, its quite heartbreaking to visit Soweto, even if it’s been modernized, it’s still a disaster in some areas.

Visiting three museums of apartheid, a few tears fell but I feel so hopeful for a more just future.

Today we had a nice long walk and bus ride through the city of Cape Town and up to the top of Table Mountain, its 1 km, aprox 3 Eifel towers high and a stunning view!

Not to hard to trek compare to my Kilimanjaro trek… even for a sick husband.

When finally got to the sea level again we decided to visit

Campus Bay, really trendy surfers beach with Celeb wine bars and restaurants, the houses and apartments

surrounding the beach were to die for

The Shark-dive tour tomorrow got cancelled due to rough seas, but… I managed to find a last minute solution which is really cool…

Johannesburg trauma

After two days in Johannesburg and two visits to the emergency hospital I’m starting to relax and will look around this cool city.
They got my husband in an ambulance from the airplane after a bad infection in his stomach, and when we checked in to SAS Radisson blue, they upgraded us to an executive suite.
5 in the morning we had to visit the hospital again and at 9 the hotel drove my poor husband 300m to his meeting in a limo! We LOVE VIP treatments…

Tonight we will have an African dinner with a few of my judge colleagues who live here. I work extra as a skydivejudge for artistic skydiving and formation skydiving. I met them first time in Russia during the world cup, it was a hard competition with 40 degrees heat and lots of forest fires.

Tomorrow I will visit Soweto and apartheid museum and some other interesting stuff while sick husband go to work

South Africa adventure

Hi there

So nice to be here on Sweetliving blog.
I’m a guest blogger from Stockholm Sweden and will share some of my adventure with
I am 42 years married to my soul mate a British bloke.
I have two children 18 and 8 years.
I am an adventurer, mother, wife, career woman and time optimist trying to mix my life in harmony. My motto is to do the utmost of my life and not to be afraid of crossing my comfort zone (or that of my husbands, which is fun to see when he feels a little nervous)

I just recently returned from a fantastic trek to the top of Kilimanjaro with Fair Travel.
Maybe I share that crazy week with you later, but this time I’m writing from the airport on my way to South Africa.
I have the big fortune to follow my amazing husband on his business trip, he always regrets taking me...

- wow lets stay a few extra days and go shark diving and climbing Table Mountain!!
- Shit! he thinks and regret badly even mentioning the trip... but she is doing it again...

It also happens that Sweetliving David is extremely phobic to sharks, so this trip I will dedicate to him and my poor husband and all of you people who are scared of WHITE SHARKS.

I prepared my GoPro camera and let you follow me under water to meet the mean killing machines and other fun stuff I come across.

Anyway, time to leave the comfort of the lounge and start this little adventure, our hand luggage is bursting at the seems, I hate putting it in the hold, soooo slow at the other end when you want to run out the airport and start the fun. I always travel only hand luggage wherever I go.

I also send my love to Sweetliving Hella on an other part of the planet, China, and her wingwalking adventures. Fly safe!

First airshow day

Late evening, right before bedtime.

Today has been very…. I do no. Different in a bad way.

The airshow started good. Really cool opening with fireworks, continuing with Skip and Jurgis showing a great aerobatic display with pyro effects!

A couple of more displays later we stood ready on Catwalk. Engine was running, we where standing next to the runway, ready and waiting for our turn. Looking at a fighter doing his show. Something gave a bad feeling inside watching it. And when he was leaving display area, it happened.

Suddenly the airplane turn over and went straight toward the ground. I couldn't believe what I saw. The fighter kept going straight down and disappeared in the ground with a cloud of fire and black smoke. Next to it, one parachute hang in the sky.

Still cant believe its for real. I've been thinking so many times this might happen, and now it did. Luckily it landed on an empty field. I can say no more about the accident, cause no facts been released about what happened.

As the accident was taken care of, the show continued with great performances and all safe flights. But it was weird, so weird.

Todays was friday, as you can se from the carpet in the …………. :) They change every day!

The airshow finished early afternoon, and we went back to the hotel. A shower then hit downtown for shopping! Well, shopping buckets, soap and more towels to clean the airplanes ;)

Hey!

Her comes a loooong post!

Last post didn't even contained all text I wrote so I must add some extra ;)

Well, those bags I posted i pic of, I told u little whats in'em. Since I will continue travel after the airshow I brought everything needed for surviving some backpacking and hiking. Got everything in those bags between fancy dresses and high heels to hiking boots, first aid kit and a trangria…

Flights to China went well, except that my computer didn't start, taking the battery off and on a couple of times help. Then the internet is very on an off.

We don't spent many hours at the hotel, only for dinner and sleeping.

I like the hotel, its ok. Xifei Hotel, in Xi'an. 5 star, I got 2 (!!) big beds, and more space than home almost ;) Beds in China are rock hard, but I solved it moving one madras to the other, so its double up! Cousy :)

First day here we spent at the hangar… well, as all days on airshows! Third time here and all feels as before, some new teams, some met-before-teams and friends. Think this show will be a great one! :) CATWALK (the wingwalking airplane I stand on) will perform twice a day, as the only display doing that! We have a tiny camera attached and will send live TV for 600 millions chinese!! Thats unrealistic…. Today we where interviewed by CCTV three times. Hope something good came out of it ;)

First day here (Tuesday) was a bit rainy, yesterday (wednesday) was better and today (thursday) was warm and sunny, lovely!! And forecast for airshowsdays fri-sat-sun looks very good. The rain killed most of the smog for some days, much fresher air…

Food here is mostly great! But some is also bit more exiting than others.

Time to travel again!

Summer has been really nice, I've spent most of my time at dz Skydive Stockholm. Not jumping like crazy, mostly packing parachutes.
Season is about to end, and now I will go with Scandinavian Airshow to China for airshow, third year in a row! :)

As always I try to see something extra, this time I will meet up with Linda after the airshow to see zhiangjiajie and walk on the great wall! Hopefully pass by Shanghai too.

Windsufing & SUP @ Varberg, Sweden

On tuesday I went down o Varberg in the south of Sweden to attend the 4H national camp for youths.

It´s the organisations biggest event in Sweden and since I´ve been a member of 4H since I was 6 years old and been to 15 of these camps before I felt like I had to participate on this years camp aswell.

And on the same day I arrrived they had different activities that you could participate in. This is a great oppertunity to try and learn things you never done before. In my case windsurfing and SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard) was two of these things.

Windsurfing was awsome and funny as hell. It took a few tries but eventually I got up on the board and even learned to turn a few times, very proud of myself I must say. I also tried SUP. Not as fun as windsurfing but a fun sport to compete in I can imagine. I learned that SUP in the US is a bigger sport than Windsurfing, Kitesurfing and Surfing together, hard to believe but true. We only had a few hours so I didn´t get as much time as I wanted on the board but I´m definitely doing this again!

After a really early morning fixing my horses and two (good!) meetings in town re sweetliving I drove to Stockholm to meet up with a friend of mine to join him ice climbing!

I havent done it since the course in 2006! LONG time ago. And it was as great fun as I remembered it! Hope it wont be another 5 yrs till next time ;) Of course the GoPro cams where mounted here and there :)

Some video editing is on the go, just need some time to finnish it, and then the problem with good free music. Any recommendations anyone?

Tomorrow is pick up day for the Mongol Rally Vehicle!! I will send you a photo when we arrive there!

Door to hell...

.... is one of our goals to see along the road, during the Mongol Rally drive. Looking at photos you will understand the name. This is a gas-leaking enormous hole in Karakum desert in Turkmenistan. In 1971 biologists where drilling for gas, the ground collapsed and left this 80 meter wide gap. And leaking natural gas is still burning!

Planning the route

So many countries! We will probably pass trough 20 countries... And visas?! Now we're researching which ones needs visa, and which ones thats even possible to enter. And not in war... Trough hole europe will be pretty easy but from Turkey trough i.e. Iran, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, gobi desert and to Mongolia will be a long rough hell of a ride! This roadtrip might become uptil 2000 miles... Not bad ey!

Mongol Rally 2011!

This is insane! I will participate in the Mongol Rally this summer! Me and Gustav (Teamleader) will drive from London to Ulaan Baator, its about 2000 swe miles....

It will take about 4-6 weeks and you are not allowed a fancy car or gps. Most of the roads lacks of condition and its not the safest countries to travel trough...

But what an adventure! Craaaazy!

On thursday we will have bigger meeting to plan the route, calculate money and start to search for more sponsors. So from now on you can follow our preparations here :)

Yesterday was grey and rainy and melting snow. When I woke up this morning a few centimeters of new white snow covered the yard at it's really beautiful :)

Me and my beloved fellow Robbie Williams is reunited, now we´re of to the stables. Im riding and he might go and chase a rabbit or something...... haha :)

Planning new trips...

We landed in Arlanda, stockholm at 8.30, delayed by an extra stop fot refuil. Me and Lisa is still here planning and dreaming of more travelling! ;) Rest of the team left the airport and Jacob, Benny and Magnus will stay 2 more days to finnish packing.
Here in Sweden its snow, cold and grey. Longing for more sunshine and adventures, life on the road is the best...

Todays highlight and maybe even the trips funniest time was when me and Lisa joined Shawn, Cody, Jessica and some locals out to the desert. They brought their bikes and we got to ride on the back of quarterbikes! See this photos..... more will come later on :)

Gotta continue packing! Feels boring its all over and everybody is leaving.... :(

Last days was really good except that there was a hold for a couple of hours when some VIP landed on the airport next to display area. Pretty strange...... so Python did not fly. Catwalk is halfway disassembled.

It was a great party lat night and now we just had breakfast so we gotta run for the bus!

This morning we flew 9 airplanes and 1 helicopter over the desert for photos and video shooting. We had PYTHON and CATWALK in the air. And 3 wingwalkers! It was so cool and pretty hard, because we had to fly faster than we usually do to keep speed with the faster airplanes. The funny thing is that they flew slowy....

Later on the show started and everything went well, we ran around playing cats as always after the flight and got interviewed by tv's n stuff :)

Billy the Badger followed me on the top wing :) He fly for charity! Good guy ;)

I cant explain to you what a good time Im having... and all these sweet people I learnt to know, how I will miss them! Hopefully I will meet you all again on airshows in the future :) And... facebook is good shit! Just had a beer with my team and some other favorites, now we all have to get some rest for tomorrows show. It was a rough flight this morning, 40 minutes on the wing is not a game :P

Weather looks goooood!

The weather is just perfect now in the morning!

Sunshine, no dust in the air and noooo wind :) The flags outside the hotel is hanging like a wet cloth...

I got up a little bit earlier today just to prepare for showday, had a nice breakfast with omelette and coffee.

Poor Linda is not as good today, she is sick :( Hope she will be better soon. One of the americans got sick a week ago, she had to go to hospital, probably because of the tap water here....

7.55 am here, gotta go to our bus that leaves at 8... c ya!

Today everybody flew a schedule but without visitors. Tomorrow and saturday there will be real showdays! ;) Emma & Lisa wingwalked on one wing each and I stood on the ground watching and hanging around with nice people. Me Like! I've seen awesome flying by many cool teams. Many professionals gathered here :)

But flying is of course more fun, so cant wait until tomorrow. Hopefully we will do photo shooting flight in the destert with other teams in the morning!

It has been a long day, with to much sun.... forgot sunprotection! Never learning....

After all that work and bills to pay I went for lunch with the team when they came back. Then some relaxing by the pool and playing in the kids water slide with Lisa ;) Haha! That was really funny!

Went down town again to look for fabric and a tailor to make a dress, found some real cool fabric with prepared embroidery for neck and sleeves. This you leave to a tailor and let him know how you want him to sew it. Pick up on friday and hopefully I can wear it on saturday night :) And it's crazy cheap! Cost less than a dress att H&M in Sweden... Also bought a really funny pair of pants for only 25 dirhams (50 sek), with slim embroidery at the bottom and super wide fitting in the waist!

Dinner was as usually at the hotel bufé, very good one! Lindas birthday was celebrated again with singing and cake! She got surprised again :) Now, after a beer and some chatting with other teams by the pool it's bedtime. Up early tomorrow, rehearsal is the plan... The show is cancelled but we will probably fly at least!!

From mondays Dubai trip, a stop on the beach. What a grey day! ;)

Due to the strong wind they had to cancel today. It is supposed to calm down this afternoon, please please please do!!

Yesterday we didnt fly 'cause of wind and sand. We spent the morning in the hangar mostly chatting and hanging around. Playing on the CATWALK to try possibilities of new positions and maneuvers :) After lunch at the military base we went back to the hotel. Me, Lisa and Emma went down town Al Ain to find a tailor to fix the cat tail attachment on our new suits and by birthday gifts for Linda.

After successful missions we went back to the hotel for dinner and Airshow Opening Ceremony in the ball room. A nice event with chocolate fondue, finger food, drinks and more. Since we knew todays show was cancelled the party moved out to the bar next to the pool and we stayed up late having a really great time! Entertaining our new friends with swedish snapsvisor (party drinking songs) was a success! Most of all they enjoyed the midsummer song 'små grodorna' (song about small frogs) and the moves to it! We didnt dance around but tried to explain our midsummer traditions, I think we might have a lot of tourist coming this midsummer to check us out ;) haha!

Today we got up 6.30 to blow up balloons and go singing for Linda! She was so surprised! :)

After that most of us went for a swim in the pool before breakfast, nice!

Except me and Jacob the team rented a bus and went out the check the surroundings. I got some work to be done, and Ive seen sand before ;) If it wasn't this wind I would like to do that quarter bike driving in the sand dunes!

I was up working to 1.30am in the morning and woke up at 6.40, so Im a little bit tired.... The wind is still strong. Hopefully it calms down during the day. Otherwise we got time to finish some sewing on our new suits! They need a cat tail! And that was what I picked up at the postoffice the same day I left Sweden :) They are pretty cool!

Just ate breakfast, and now we might go to the base (hangar) or maybe something else.... We will see. Have a gret day!

Yesterday we all got up flying! Me and Emma did the first wingwalking training and at the end of the day me and Liza flew. It all went very well! And Sus flew us nicely as always :)Jacob got up an flew PYTHON also. All teams are here now, the last ones I think are ready to fly. It is so many cool airplanes and pilots.... Cant wait to see the show! There is also helicopters and a dragracer here. And two guys with motorbikes, one of them will jump OVER AN AIRPLANE! So they built a ramp and wil do the stunt on the showdays. Thats crazy....!

Today we got to the hangar as usual. The wind was strong allready in the morning and didnt change.... Instead we put the airplanes into the hangar and got back to the hotel for lunch. After that we and some of the american teams went to Dubai for some sightseeing. Since I've was around last time, two years ago, I've allready seen most of the stuff we visited. So actually it was pretty boring ;) Big hotels, enormous shoppingmalls, big buildings... doesnt really impress me. I saw that indoor skiing from the inside this time, and it was TINY! First I wanted to go skiing, then I realized how short it is so I skipped that.

We came back to the hotel pretty late, now it is soon 1am so Im off for bed! I'll got internet from now on, so I'll let you know whats going on here :) Better catch some sleep! Fingers crossed for good weather tomorow! Nighty! xH

Hey out there! Im back! This hotel we live on has a unrealistic expensive internet so I wont blog everyday sadly. Otherwise its nice, a five star Hilton and I share room with the two other skycats :)

We (me, Emma, Lisa, Claes, Linda and Sus) arrived in Dubai about 11.30pm and got to our hotel around 2am... Woke up for breakfast at 8 and met the rest of the team (Jacob, Benny and Magnus) who been here a while to put the airplanes together.

At the aiport the day started with Jacob taking me for a flight in WASP, he wants us wingwalkers to try negative G! Lucky us! That flight was HILARIOUS!! We flew inverted and turned and flew loops, twisting and turning and I was so laughing all the time with millions of butterflies having a party within me! Rollercoster is like jumping up and down on your own feet compared. And the view!! Desert..... :) I got on video, no idea if it looked good, havent been time to see it yet ;P

Emma also got to fly today and after her ride we went for lunch.

Getting ready for Lisas flight we saw heavy clouds growing, and then sand blowing straight up from the sanddunes! Then the sandstorm came! It looked like a wall coming and we hurried to push the airplanes into the hangar. No more flying that day and we went back to the hotel. Everybody went to the gym, that was nice to get tired after a long flight. I did 160kg in the leg press, is that ok?? :) I have no idea..... ;P

Today Sus flew CATWALK today and Jacob PYTHON. A lot of teams flew today so we didnt had time to ww practise. But tomorrow! :D Its a lot of cool teams here, u can see some at the website I linked to :)

What a great morning!

Sun is shining and Im sitting here with a cup of coffee. I got up at 6am and went to pick up my passport... then picked up a box at he post office :) Will show you later, I gotta try it on first ;P

Time for shower and then get a taxi to the railwaystation to go to Arlanda airport :)

Will be nice to change from snow and -15´C to sunshine and + 25´C!

Again it´s time for Scandinavian Airshow to perform at Al Ain Aerobatics!

My bags are full of clothes and gopro + computer stuff :) Had to by some new clothes... It´s a very different culture from us, I even had to buy some more clothes that covers my shoulders and longer sleeves to cover my tattoo. Specially when we are at the hangar on the military base it has to be proper. At the hotel it is more relaxed and we dress more casual.

I thought I had a great idea sleeping in the city to save some time tomorrow as I live on the countryside. Right now I-for the first time in my life- forgot my passport!! Unbeleivable. So first thing to do when I wake up is to go and get it!

Otherwise... I hope nothing more is forgotten. Doggy has a home- thanks mum! One break-in horse was picked-up today and friends will care for my own horses. Tomorrow I got some exciting to get at the post-office... will tell u ´bout that later.

Well, since I have to get up earlier to get that passport I´ll better go to sleep now! Normally I got a hard time to wakeup in the morning, but when it is an adventures a head -It´s easy! So tomorrow we´re off to Dubai, then Abu Dhabi and Al Ain :)

So now when an adventures is on the go again, you can follow it here daily on our blog!

Back and alive!

Sorry guys for not writing many blogposts from Åre, I got sick and mostly slept the hole week away. Yes, that sucks.... New year was really nice and we enjoyed a three meal supper for the eve, watched the fireworks and drank champange!

We where 16 participants this year, where of 7 stay longer for more skiing. Everybody seemed to have a real good time, and I wanna thank you all for joining!! Great meeting you all :)

Wish you the best for 2011 and hope you all do all those adventures you´re dreaming of!

At an airport again

I wonder how many hour I spent waiting at an airport. Even though airports are pretty impersonal places, I love them. A lot of people, everybody going somewhere, something beginning, something ending. Its busy or empty. Time to think, time to relax. Or stressful, if something delayed you or others. They all look thesame, and also totally different....

Jessicas airplane has left and Im now alone, sipping a latte and spending my time at the wi-fi café. Not bad at all. I want to to say thanks to Jessica for great company on this trip, it wouldnt been the same without you! As I new before, this would be a different trip from many others. It ever came out more giving than I dared to hope for. Shortly I can say, its great to get time to think and also realize some mindtroubles on distance ;)

Just some of my thoughts felt to share. Now Im looking forward to meet family and friends. Get back to my great jobs (yes, I do look forward to them!) and out to the stables for my horses! And not to forget, my fluffy Robbie (THE dog!).

Got one good advise: Travel!

Listvyanka, Lake Baikal -> Moscow!

From a hidden village in east Russia along Lake Baikal to a speeded Moscow after 4 days and three nights on the trans-siberian railway. What a change of atmosphere.

Listvyanka is beutiful and relaxed. We hang out with 2 canadians we met there, they also travel with the train towards Moscow. The water of lake Baikal is incredibly clear. On the other side snowy mountains stretched along the ice blue water. Our 2 nights here was at a family, with mother Olga caring for us. For breakfast we got pancakes with cottage cheese, jam, bread with THICK slices of cheese. After Olgas breakfast, you dont need to eat for several hours...

Me and Jessica enjoyed many walks along the beach. Breathing the fresh air. We needed this after all smog in China ;) We tried to find a boat trip, but they were all to long for our short stay. Probably its easier if you travel summertime. It was a bit difficult with the language. Peolpe here doesnt speak english, and dont want to either? Without dictionary you manage to get around, but many many times I wish I'd bough one.

Last day I and Kristina (one of the Canadians) completed ur mission we both (we didnt know each other before) to swim in the lake! Freeeeeezing! OMG... but we were som satisfied with ourself doing it. Hope we get the 25 more years of life now ;)

Back on the train again on sunday. 3 nights on the train. Today, wednesday, we arrived in Moscow. During these days we shared our compartment with Gregori (one of the most kindest, helpful old men I ever met, he bought us cookies, ice cream, and of course vodka -he was true russian- and helped us to find the metro in moscow, only for good will), and a women with her kid Barbara stay only for one night, then changed for a young man I dont know the name of for next night wich got of after a short ride. Next man into the compartment was the happiest russian guy ever. Constantin also spoke english, wich helped the hole coversation a lot! When he got of a lady entered. Kind and quit. I never thought these days should run so fast.

Moscow seems like most big cities. Stress. Rush. People. So much peolpe! We dragged our heavy bhe backpacks and bags trough metros and into our hotel. Steaming hot. The shower was more fantastic than nice and for the first time since I left sweden, the beds are SOFT. Awesome. I gonna jump into that bed right now.... sleep tight!

Happiness and sadness

Last day in Ulaan Baator was long and strange. It will change my life in a way I cant explain, but its good. Very good.
We came back to the hostel just in time to grab our bags and get a taxi to the trainstation. This trip lasted from wednesday night til friday morning. We entered Russia and got of in Irkutskt. Taxi and then bus to Latsvyanka, a beautiful village next to Lake Baikal, worlds deepest freshwater lake. Weather can't be better. Sunshine and warm. The village is cousy with small houses and hills. Far mountains is covered with snow. I found this internet cafe close to our family living. But photos will be delayed :)

Im happy here, enjoying the nature and my trip. But many of my thoughts goes to family and friends for two of my friends that past away. These two friends both left us way to early. Im happy that I learned to know you both and for giving me great memories. Rest in piece.

Staying one night at Ulan Bator (capital of mongolia) wich is really good. We got great help to plan our trip coming days and the bed here is the softest I felt in a month! Shower was fresh and we also got a recommondation to a vegetarian restaurant that with really good food. Nice to know you what ever you order, it wont be meat or something in it cause of missunderstandings...

Tomorrow we will go on a trip for 5 days and 4 nights. We will ride from one nomad family to another, where we stay for the night each to sleep and eat. This is the trip I've been longing for a long time......

First trip of the train is done. The train was cousy and we had our 4 beds room for our selfs. We passed mountains and the great wall was seen from the window when we ate our lunch. Closer to Mongolia the nature got more flat, there was heards of sheeps, cows and horses. And in between, nothing but dried grass. We even saw skeletons of dead horses.

We arrived and where taken to our hostel with supernice people, and 3 swedish guests. Swedish people are everywhere! ;) We've booked a 5day trip, going to ride all days, visit nomad familys for the night.

Now we will go and look for something to eat!

5am, packing

About 4 hours of sleep on a hard bed, my neck is stiff and my eyes still tired. But thinking moving on today brings energy to get up in the black morning, out in the cold and get to the train station. All beds are hard, even at the good hotels... chinese thing I guess. The widows has been open all night, I dont know why. But everyvody sleeping in the dorm doesnt care, so I asume it's supposed to be that way. I had my thick fleece jacket on all night....

Time to get dressed and go. Mongolia, here we come! Our first train will be a bit more than a 24 hour ride. Will will arrive 2.30 pm tomorrow ad me met by a family where we will sleep our first night!

In Beijing

The driver to the airport got the wrong way 3 times, bad weather delayed my flight more than two hours, a person panicked during the flight. But finnally I arrived in Beijing, grabbed a starbucks coffe and jumped on the subway to meet my friend Jessica. Subways system here is easy go with, like in any big city and staff is better in english here, so its easy to ask for help.

I checked in at Qianmen Hostel, a simple and cousy place, close to Forbidden City. Hostels are pretty much the same whereever you go over the world and all nationalitys, so you don't get stared out here either. We walked along the streets, looked at some shopping and ate a simple dinner. At night we saw a Chinese Acrobatic show wich was impressing. So talented and gymnastic people! The grand finale was 5 men on motocykles driving around inside a round cage. Crazy! After that, a second coffee from starbucks! (yes, Im tired of drinking coffee of powder).

Because of slow internet it seems impossible to upload photos at the moment :(

Good morning! Time is about 7am here and I'm nearly ready to leave. I can't beleive I've got so muck stuff! Thought it would be much less after getting out heavy shoes and thick clothes, leaving some, but nooooo. My backpack and my bag are FULL. Computer and cameras and many many kinds of chargers makes it heavy to carry. Hope it will be cold so I can wear more clothes ;)

I just want to say thank you to everybody in the team, to all organizers and staff, all people who visit the airshows, to followers of this blog, to family and friends for support and help. This warm and thankful feeling I got, I'ts all for you!

The memories I will bring from this last four weeks is unforgetable. All smiles I've met, all laughs we had, all new frieds I've learned to know... Can't really explain it, I'm bad how to explain, but I think you get it ;)

Right now all team member just left my room for sleep. How I will will miss them! We've been growing even closer together. Great minds tink a'like! Well, now the mission is done and it became even better than we hoped! A special thank you to Cerina who recruited me and Jacob Holländer (owner of Scandinavian Airshow) for this very special opportunities in life!

I've started my packing for next adventure. Some stuff I left in the container, some I throw away and now I switch fancy clothing, work clothing and catsuit for travel outfit. Backpack and a bag, with only a plan where to go, but no idea of what I will experience.

Shows are over

Last day was as good as the other showdays! A bit more cloudly, even more people, and hilarous flying! It's a relief in one way it's over -we made it!! But very sad in another -we will miss everything!

We can proud and happy go back home or continue the trip as I'm doing...

When all this tension goes away when it's over, the tiredness comes. After the showdays, with though fysical flying, photos, autograph writing, smiling, giving and jumpin' around.... We just felt SO exhausted. It takes a lot of energy to be SUPERhappy all the time, see all people, shake hands with everybody, be polite with everybody pulling your arm while taking photo with someone else...

As soon as the show was over and the crowd was forced out by flashing police cars and we moved our airplanes into the hangar (still volounteers followed us for photos and autographs...) and started the work with disassemble the Wasp. Everybody was so tired. We mostly laughed and shared funny jokes... but some work was acctually done... ;)

Dinner at the hotell and then a bottle of red wine watching photos and more jokes in one of our rooms here. So now it's BEDTIME!! Tomorrow I will spend my last day with the team, then I head to Beijing to meet Jessica for next adventure! It just adds energy to think about it! Longing!

Second showday & Banquet

Another fantastic and unforgetable day has passed. Weather was perfect again and more peolpe came today to see the show!

A day starts with breakfast 6.30 and departure 6.50. Hotel staff looks really tired, and only half of the breakfast is ready. But some nescafe (only coffee there is) and some beans, eggplants, rice (yes, its food for breakfast too) and a muffin we are set. Arriving at the airport, all planes are checked, refuled and GoPro cameras are mounted. Its a mission to change to the cat outfit. We have to run a little to escape people caching us for photos to not be delayed. In the same building as the tower we get a room to change wear. Suit, ears, tail and makeup! Then we have to run even faster back until we cross the fence to the airplanes. We wave and sheer to get attention for our show. At the safe side of the fence we can play! The crowd sheers and take photos. Police and military on the inside stops us for photos. Crazy but fun!

After the show first pose on the wings for a while, then run along the fence, again waving and sheering! A line of militarys outside the fence stops the crowd to get to close but at the end of the day we can go outside the fence and meet our fans. Its all ages, wich is very funny :)

Some lunch is quick eaten, hidden behind the fence, in true chinese style, with chopsticks sitting on a tiny stool. The days feels really long. At the end when it feels like its about 4-5 pm, its only about 2pm! Also airshows starts much earlier here than in Sweden.

Tonight was a banqet held. We dressed up fancy and where taken to a luxury restaurant with all importent people and airshow particients. Speach where held and song where sung. They do party like crazy! Like there is no show tomorrow! They where a bit disapointed when they saw we drank alcohole free beer and coke. Our team gave 3 swedish Dalahästar (famous old traditional horses in painted tree) to importent people in the organization. Later we sang a swedish 'snapsvisa' (song to 'cheers!'), they just love it! The governour came up to thank us and sang a song to us right there about 'friends forever'! We gave them another gift, a box of swedish 'snaps' since they like to rice liquid shots. Wonder how they like it or not?! Again hundres of photos where taken, and videotapes of all cheering. Here you sit around round tables and then peolpe and groups go around for cheering with others. A chinese banqet is over pretty fast, its full speed, and then everything is finnished in less than 2 hours. The food is very creative and for us sometimes strange. I'll give you some fun pictures. Most of the food is really deliciuos and I will miss it when I'm back home. Its not at all to compare with china-food at home!

Fantastic airshow, day 1!

The weather was super! The flying awesome! The GoPro videos kicked ass! Videos will be sent on CCTV tonight and will be seen by aprox 250 million people! Not bad ey! :D

Opening cermony was with coloured smoking fireworks, para gliders and speach. Scandinavian airshow was displayed three times, Jacob flew Wasp and Python, and Sus flew Catwalk with me and Emma on the wings. Gently, I can say that Scandinavian Airshow is a success here. A proffessional team, all three airplanes in same hot design and showes everything from high level aerobatic to advanced wingwalking with funny cat caracters! Gently, WE ROCK! ;) We also spend a lot of time with people for photos and handshaking. Big golden star to owner Jacob Holländer, and to all crew members! Good work!

One of my biggest interests now is the video recording. Our GoPros are mounted in different angels every day, and as soon as the show is over I collect all cameras and start to check it with my computer. Hopefully I can show you some in a near time! I Will now continue my work with organizing movies and also do some planning for THE new year happening (Åre, here we come!)

All five GoPro cameras was mounted to on the cameras, to try angles and mountings. Some of them was super, and some need some adjustments. It looks really proffsionall with the matching yellow covers. I'll give you some photos of today for you to enjoy ;) Myself, I have to get into bed and sleeeeeeep! Tomorrow will be a long showday :)

After the rain on sunday, monday actually showed a blue sky! The air was fresh and clear. How we appreciated that. The surroundings here is dirty. They throw the trash in the ditch and some million people daily burn rests from the corn they grow, wich creates the smog. Corn is the most common crop in the area. The streets are half covered by drying corn and the traffic has to pass on the sides. The village we drive trough to go to the airport is really poor. All houses looks rough and rusty, everywhere people is working, selling fruits and food along the streets. Loose dogs looks happy tripping around between corncobs, children and fast driving cars and three wheel motobikes, overloaded with whatever.

All three airplanes are ready and today Jacob flew Wasp and Python. The rain came back today and in the afternoon there was no idea to continue with flying Catwalk. Jacob was interviued for tonights news, me and Emma where presented by Ruben, the organizer, and did some cat posing on the Catwalk. Tomorrow pilot Sus will come back to join us. He is bringing a bunch of GoPro cameras I ordered for the airshow!

This night we had dinner at the hotel and celebrated one of the americans on his birthday! The huge cake was sweet and we also sang for in in swedish :) The cake was beautifully decorated with fruits... and tomato! and parsley! After dinner we had a walk along the streets here, I bought a pair of travell pants, army style-ish for my transsibirian trip home. They cost 79 SEK, thats nearly for free!

One airplane is ready

The internet is on and off, but I think they solved the problem now. Catwalk is ready, and today we started with Python. Or the technicans did... but me and Emma helped out as much as we could with carrying stuff, holding stuff, and.... other stuff!

The heat is gone and today was a rainy and cold day.... The nice thing is that the smog goes away and the air is fresh to breath. The smog isnt nice at all. At the end of the day you feel dirty and your troath sore. They never see real blue sky here, its like early dawn all the time when sun is up. The rain today made the work in the hangar a bit difficult, because we dont have proper light. See the pictures!

At night we ate hot pot at a local cosy resturant. Delicious as always! And spiiiiicy! :) Popular spices is ginger and garlic wich I love, so I wont get sick here eating so much of that ;)

First day of work

This morning we opened the containers, its a bit nervous. Because they dont drive carefully here and airplanes are fragile ifnot handled correctly. You can tell from all protecting material that its been a rough ride but thanks to all securing and padding it all survived. The american team had two holes in their airplanes... no good.

We started to get out all parts for the 'Catwallk', the wingwalking airplane. In the hangar where we rolled in the body of the plane, wings and all other parts, maybe 10 people is living! Its their home! Feelt weird to enter and start to work and be noisy when they live there. They used about one quarter of the hangar in the middle living in tents. Last year when we where here, the hangar was built up. It was much better interior now and big equipment to handle heavy and big stuff, helpful for us to get the wings on.

The weather was really warm today and I must have hundreds of mosquito bites.... itchy!

Terracotta soldiers and horses museum

We arrived to our new hotel last night. Its more simple and not in the center of the town so we will be much closer to the airport. Last year we had one hour drive to get there and one hour back... After checking in we had a walk outside, what a different world! Its crowed on the streets and squares, peolpe are dancing, watching movies on old fashion screens and enjoying food and drinks. Its a pretty poor hood but peolpe seems very friendly and curious. Since pilot Sus and technican Magnus went back to Sweden we are 4 left since Chonqing airshow. But a new technican, Niklas, has joined us now. Together with the american teams we joined the locals and sat down around a table for a beer. Here all beer are very mild! We where given gifts from the food carts to try local delicasys like spicy fried pancake, some meat sticks and tiny apples with sour glaze.

Next day- today- we visited the terracotta soldiers and horses museum. For me it was my second time there, but its still amazing. They were made for more than 2000 years ago to protect Chinas first emperor in his afterlife. The underground work was trashed and set on fire and thereafter it was hidden under ground until 1974 when a farmer found it drilling a water well. Go there if you get the chance!

I got loads of photos I took with the lens I bought in Chongqing, but unfortunatly I cant connect it to my computer to show them to you... I'll do my best to fix it soon!

Our containers arrived today to the airport, and tomorrow we will go and start the work to put the airplanes together again. It will be hot days ahead according to the forecast. Today was hot and sunny as well.

Night in Chonqing

Yesterday we arrivede in Chongqing early afternoon. Our team, two more team, some camera peolpe was taken arround in Chongqing for sighseeing and some shopping. We stayed for a while sitting at the big wide stairs with a view over where Jialing river crossed in to the Yangtze river. You can cleary see the difference between the more green water compared to the more brown water. Watching the sunset it just got more and more beautiful with all lights from the town and bridges becoming stronger.

Dinner was hot pot, a traditional chinese dish, where you litterally have a boiling pot in the middle of the table full of spices. All side dishes is raw, and you put them in for boiling ad then pic them up after a few minutes. Really tasty and it gets stronger the longer the spices is boilded. What you choose to pic up from the hot pot you dip in in a mix of sesame oil, garlic, salt ad vinegear.

I'll send some pictures later, now I will go downtown to find som stuff for my big camera!

Towards Chongqing again

Yesterday was a long day. All airplanes had to be packed into the containers so the transport could leave last night. We where worked from 8 am to 10 pm, had both lunch and dinner at the hangar. It pretty fun to disassamble the aircrafts! Interesting to see how is's build up and it's a lot of planning to fit everything into our 2 containers! I love the team, we had such a great time, many times we where laughing so we barely could stand up... To finnish a bit crazy, me, Emma and Magnus when with Hot Air Balloon Frank for a ride on the BMW motorcycle with a side-car back to the hotell! So late at night the streets is empty, during the days the streets are full of cars, busses, people, dogs... And the rules is left-right-me first-beep beep!

When we came back it was really nice with a shower to get rid of oil and dirt... We all met up in Stones room to celebrate our good work with a cold bear and watching photos and videos from the past days.

Today we pack our bags to leave Lian Ping to go back to Chonqing for a night. Tomorrow we will fly to Xi'an to unpack the aircrafts for next show.

Yesterdays banquet was fab! We enjoyed our dinner with chinese performances on the stage, such as dancers, live music and more. On big screens they showed videos from the airshow days. Beleive it or not, but the chinese knows how to party... Everybody from the organization and other teams came to Gambei! (Sheers!) with us :)

They quickly got.... overexcited ;) We sang swedish songs that was really appreciated so the cameraman had us to sing the songs again for the camera! It was a funny night with laughing laughing laughing! :)

The party continued in a party room, here they dont have a open bar, you have a room of your own friends. We sang songs to the karaoke (the only music there was) for hours.

We slept longer this morning to leave soon (9 am) to the airport and start to disamble the airplanes. So now Im off! Bit later!

The weather was great! Warm and sunny! All teams performance was great our wingwalking a great pleasure!

Jacob flew airobatic with Python with my GoPro camera in the cockpit facing backbards, we got SO COOL video!!

Now I have to run for a shower, gotta be in dress and high heels at the banquette in less than half an hour!

I just came back from breakfast and will leave in a couple of minutes to the last showday. Weather is the best so far, and if we are lucky it might be some sunshine today :)

A rainy airshow, day 2

The rain keeps falling but the show must go on... and today all team fighted the rain again and flew! It rained more than yesterday and we though at first we should make our wingwalking display shorter to not suffer to much pain from the rain. For me starting at top wing, I can choose to use more positions facing backwards to escape the raindrops. Harder for Emma to be between the wings all the time. It was slippery to get down from the top and out between the wings. I was very careful and had to hold on a bit harder.

Today we could taxi back to the hangar right after landing instead of taxi for display for the crowd. We were both soaking wet and frosen, but happy! Big hiiive fiiive and then we kept playing cats for the cameras and dancing around to get heat up :) Being so wet, you stop caring about it. It's more fun to see the happiness in the kids and the people around us, who was gathering around us for photographing!

Jacob flew his Pitts Python at the end of the show, and did manoveurs you dont believe with your own eyes, the crowd was amazed!

First Shoday at Chongqing Airshow!

First showday is over! It started with nice weather, it was cloudy but very light and high. Everyone got prepare for flying, we Skycats put our makeup on and then... Then the rain started! It rained heavily and the sky got darker. The opening cermony started as planned with fireworks, then presentating all teams, the organization and also Chinas first astronout!
Then everybody was waiting. Rain capes where handed out to the visitors. Slowly the rain got more gently and first display could start! The rain was on and off during the hole show, we had to delay our wingwalking show. You dont look good after flying trough rain in200- 300 km/hour with uncovered face, everybody who skydives knows... So when it looked more steady and just a few raindrops coming we took off! We were really lucky! We could perform the hole show with loop and barrelrolls! :) (thats when you need most speed).
All planes where placed in a line in front of the crowd for display after flying. Skycats was posing and posing ;) Walking back inside the fence towards the hangar took looong time time, we where shaking hands, playing cats for the children and posing for never ending of photographing!

When the show was over for the day, Jacob and technicans had to work some with Python. Me and Sus (catwalk pilot) had a walk on the field taking photos of the cows living next to the runway, actually where we are flying!!

Tomorrow is Chinas national day and coming week is a holiday. I can hear firework outside my window, it never seems to stop ;)

Today we finally got to do some wingwalking!! Nice too see Liang Ping from above ;) Everything felt very good, nice easy warm up for tomorrow, our first showday! *Pleeeeeaaaase weather be good*

It´s been a long day at the hangar. After the dinner the pilots Jacob and Sus, and me representing the Skycats, went for a meeting about the shows planned schedule and important information about the display area, VIP, public and more.

It will be a loooong day tomorrow too and its late here. So I´ll try to catch some sleep now, and I'll tell you more tomorrow! :) I will try to upload a photo from todays practising, hope it will work this time! (you have to see my new try of gopro mounting!) ;)

Ediths Birthday!

When Edit & Jacob came down for breakfast this morning we where all standing in the lobby waiting for her. We sang Happy Birthday in Chinese (at least the first row 3 times), in English and in Swedish! Everybody gave her a bracelet, because we know she love bracelets :)

There was no flying today either, but weather is getting warmer at least ;) Jenny is up on her feet today so we all practised a lot on the airplane, climbing and posing again and again!

The rest of the day was mostly arrengeing for Edits birthday celebration at the evening. We had a dinner at a really nice restaurant, got some pink balloons, a BIG cake and she got a lot of flowers.

Day of interviuws

After breakfast (that contained mostly dinner food) we headed straight to the airport. Airplane Python was started and sounded nicely :) Unfortunalty Jenny had to stay home cause of sick stomack :(( So me and Emma did some ground practise on our aircraft Catwalk, all safety details over and over, and all positions over and over. The rain kept falling so we hopfully get OK for fying tomorrow!

The afternoon was only interviews with TV shows! Jacob (company owner and pilot) was mostly interviewed and me and Emma was interviewed with our Skycat suits, tail and ears on! We also did lots of posing on the aircraft for the TV and speaking some freshly leared chinese language , it will be seen tomorrow in China!

The magasine is from this week!

(Everybodyknows we are here, yesterday we was shopping and when we came out there was a bunch of curious chinese who looked at us! When we came out they followed us and tried in poor english to ask us questions!)

Jenny was better in the evening! So good :) She even could eat some dinner with us! Go girl :)

Tomorrow we will celebrate Edits birtday!

In Liang Ping!

We arrived to Liang Ping in perfect time for lunch! We met up with Jacob, Benny & Magnus (Stenis) from the team, who came to Chinabefore us. After a nice lunch we went to the airshow airport to check up the place. We have our own hangar for our 3 airplanes and us. Now its feels a show is getting closer! Cant wait to be flying again!!

The weather is still a bit rainy so we couldnt do so much since the guys done all hard work allready! Tomorrow we will get fuel and if the weather is good, we will fly! *fingers crossed*

Instead we went shopping! Our guides who doesnt leave us alone for a second showed us around. When dinner was served at the hotell we went back and ate and then went downtown again for more shopping! Im supposed to buy NOTHING except a few needed things, but its so crazy sheep I cant resist it! Once shopaholic, always a shopaholic I guess.... I bough new cute shoes, shiny wallet, small party handbag, beautiful thin scarf with embrodery paul frank belt. And this was day one in town....

Now I will go to sleep, tomorrow will hopefully be a long day with lots of flying ;)

The hotel by the way is fab! Havet lived in a nicer 5star before, I got my own 2 beds room. Both bathtub and shower in a luxury bathroom, view over the town. LIKE :)

After a long flight to Beijing and then a 2½ hour domestic flight to Chongqing our private guide met us at the aisrport and our driver took us too our hotel for the night. Chongqing is a small town in China, it ONLY 18 million people living here!

Arriving at the hotel these tiny nice chinese working at the hotel quickly grabbed our bags to carry them, I bet the bags where heavier than them!

We ate the hotel bufé, it was pretty good. But Chinese food need some days too get used to... For me who is vegetarian since 13 years its a bit diffucult to find more than fruit and sallad. On the bufé you find duck claws, snails, scrimps, lots of seafood and meat in all buns and soups.

After some work at night and a shower I slept well. Morning started with breakfast bufé wich was good, I found yummi bananabread, fresh fruit and eggs. The coffe is... drinkably ;)

Now we are going to the airshow airport, about 2 hours drive. The traffic is heavy and its raining a little, only 22 degrees. Back to u as soon as I can! :)

I'm off to Arlanda Airport from Uppsala. I got clothing and gear for
+35 degrees in China, for -15 in Russia, for work in the hangars, for
fancy dinners and banquettes, for rough living and outdoor life in
Mongolia! Cant beleive I fitted it in only 2 bags... Hope I dont have
to pay for overweight ;)

Last weekend Hella participated at Nordic Babes freefly weekend. It was well organized days with lots of tracking jumps and some one-to-one coaching. Thanks to Infinity Freefly for organizing and specially Nina and Boel for very good coaching!

This was sadly my last days at the DZ for this season :((( (But it couldnt end better!)

I hate to pack all my stuff and knowing its a long winter until season starts again.... So I really want to say thanks to all old and new friends for this summer, for a great time, great jumps, great party nights and so many laughs! I miss u all so much allready... And enjoy the rest of the season as much as u can.

Myself, I started to pack my bags for wingwalking shows inChina, then transsiberian railway back trough Mongolia and Russia. I'm leaving on the 23rd of sept, so now it´s full speed getting things in order before take off!

Back in sweden 5th of nov! I'll do my best to update from China :)

Sorry all, we havent been writing much lately.

We are both very busy at the moment. There´s a lot of planning and researching for the future and a lot of exciting stuff going on that you soon will get to know more about! I can tell you some of it, but only some ;)

Much work is related to our new website that finally will be released in a near time! It will kick ass!

Travels are getting closer. We might go to Kilimanjaro soon, Hella is of to China in october for two wingwalking shows and will from there meet up with a friend for going home by the trans-siberian railway. We will make a stop in Mongolia and at Lake Baykal in Russia. If you traveled this trip, please give us your best advices! :)

I really want to tell you so much more..... but it will come, promise!

Since the weather has been awesome in Sweden until now, skydiving season been very good so far!

Downhill bicycling

A weekend at Åre (Sweden) with two days of rough downhill bicycling is a thrill! I went with my friend Isac, who´s done this before. For me it was my first time ever. And it showed, haha! Isac went like a pro and I did my best control the bike over rough ground, steep downhills, over jumps, sharp turns... High up the mountain its lots of stones and rocks, further down, more forest and easier ground.

Partly I think it went quite well and I got some nice flow, partly I rode like shit and fell or slided of the tracks. I did a few hard crashes when i tried to go a bit faster or push of a jump a bit more... So today Im really bruses and sore on my legs, and got a cut in my forehead that probably will stay there always as a scar of memory. So at least I tried and didnt give up, haha :)

When you get that flow in it and starting to get a feeling of it its soooo coooool!

I do recommend to try this, but dont expect it to be easy ;) I´ll do it again! But get some extra protection for my thighs...... Keep it sweet! /Hella

On monday our friend Ragnar (or more know as Ragge) did his first tandem skydive! The weather couldnt be better and Hella jumped with to them and took some photos. Ragge loved it and we are so happy you came and jumped with us! Skydive is the shit! :D

Tuesday was a great day!

I(Hella)am wingwalker for Scandinavian Airshow since 2007, and its one of the best thing ever happent to me, when I was asked to join the team!

Now I supervised three new girls on the wing. I did 8 flights, 6 of them was with the new girls who did 2 each. They did a very good job! First flight was mostly crusing and trying all positions, the second round we did the hole show with loops and barrel rolls. Its such a cool feeling to be upside down on the wing of an airplane! Our airplane called ´Catwalk´ has 450 hp! The Catwalk is a Grumman G 164A Ag-cat from 1973, and now specially modified for wingwalking. Follow this link to read more about Scandinavian Airshow!

Freefly Camp Advanced at Skydive Stockholm

Back from FKCG and Nordic 8 FF Camp I (Hella) continued with next ff camp at my home dropzone at Gryttjom. I had a bit of luck to join for a couple of days, Thank you Tilda for giving me a couple of days and thanks to Andreas who let me join even I didnt had as high skills as the rest of the participants ;)

It felt a bit weird to sit there next to world campions in freestyle: Hekla for Finland! Of course we practised on different stuff, buuuuut... ;) Nice to meet you both, great to hear your story and see the videos of your jump! Epic! :)

Most of monday and tuesday rained away but the jumps we did was AWESOME! Thank you Petter for great coaching! I improved my steep track and back tracking a lot!

Instead of doing one-to-one coaching we jumped in groups and did only shorter briefing between the jumps to jump as much as possible. Good thinking, Well organized!

Now I'm back in Uppsala for a meeting with one of our first trip/adventure writer about Tanzania and Kilimajaro we´re we will go in september. And very soon it will be up on our new designed website! Keep your eyes open, 'cause soon we´ll really be rocking on the web as we do on ground... or in the sky! ;) I also want to give a hint 'bout the midsummer boogie at EDZ next week, you want to read about that! Promise!

Sweetliving goes Nordic 8 FreeFly Camp

We packed our bags and our rigs and went down to Vårgårda DZ, near Gothenburg to participate at Nordic 8 FreeFly Camp for a week. Both me and Hella want to be better freeflyers. I want o increase my skills as a cameraman and Hella will compete in the Swedish Championship in August so she and Kalle needs to practise a bit.

Sweetlivings first organized tandem jumps !!

Hi ya´ll.

We just want to say that we´re sorry for not publishing so much in the blog right now. We´re working like crazy to get Sweetliving more up and running, planning alot of activities, events and travels but mostly alot of administration takes up most of our time. But shortly we´re back on track, so we can continue delivering the best reports from all around the world to all of you here on the blog. We have a webdesigner working on our website right now. As soon as it´s ready we´ll let you know, it´s going to be awsome!

Plus many many plans and ideas that will come true during 2010, stay with us!

But in the meanwhile..........Sweetliving goes tandem ;-)

This whole year we´re going to organize alot of tandem jumps with Stockholm Skydive.

The idea is to reach out to alot of poeple and companies using advertising and alot of our connections.

Get everyone we know to come out to our DZ and do a jump. We want to show everybody what it feels like to jump out of an airplane and fall freely through the sky. The feeling is indescribable, you really need to see it and experience it for yourself.

Since this is not a all year around dropzone it takes a little while for it to get 100 % on track. The first month we only jump on weekends, but from the 24th of May we´re jumping every day. So come jump with us this summer, our Twin Otter is flying like crazy.
