Living in Puerto Viejo

I have to add some details about the hostel Rockin´ J:s
It´s just  not the same place as it was the last time I stayed there, it´s changed alot. It become way more commercial. So we decided to move and find another better place.
And we did. And also it was weekend so we decided to upgrade our standards a little bit, and get away from the hostal life and check in to something better for a while. A sweet place called Agapi. It means Love in greek and was run by a really nice guy from Greece. Nice room, with private bathroom, warm water, tv, fan and refrigerator. Outside a beautiful garden, close to water and also a new big pool and a jacuzzi. All for $35. I bet my parents would love the place, so mom and dad, if you ever go to Costa Rica and Puerto Viejo, this is the place you want to stay at ;-)

Sorry about the bad picture, alot of dust in the air

Nice garden areas

Really cool house, one of the places you stay in

I´ll let you know, keep yourselves updated!

Sweetliving @ Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica

This is how happy you become when you get to leave San José and head out into the real Costa Rica.

Me and Lasse got on a 4,5 hour bus ride from the city to go to the east side and Puerto Viejo. A little village close to the borders of Panama. A small, sweet place, with palmtrees, right next to the ocean, vendors by the boardwalk, and cozy little restaurants and hostels here and there. Perfect place to chill and relax.

View from the bus

We checked in to a hostel called Rockin´ J:s , a chilled place a bit outside of town, with it´s own beach, restaurant, bar and almost everything you need. I stayed here when I was here the last time and loved the place. Unfortunately the place has grown a bit during the years, more people has found it and it a lot more commercial than it used to be, like the rest of Puerto Viejo. But it´s still a very cool place and I really recommend it if you´re travelling this way. The only bad thing is that the surfing is not so good here on the east side, the west side of Costa Rica is way better.

Here , take look at Rockin´ J:s

You can rent a room, a doorm, a tree house, a villa , a tent or a hammock, sweet!

Life is Hard

When it was time to eat you have a lot of options in this little village.
And really good food. I wanted to look up a place I had breakfast at the last time. It was a small place in somebodys backyard, but they had the best breakfast. The only problem was that I didn´t knew where it was but after some searching I finally found it, Café Rico it´s called and it was totally worth the walk ;-)

After breakfast we went down to the beach to chill, cause well, it´s the beach ;-)

It´s very very hot sometimes

I met a new friend. Viejo is full of dogs but no one looked more like my dear Emma than this one. It´s a male and he came up to me the first time I called him. I named him Zima.

Another great breakfast place with the friendliest staff ever!!

Café Kire

The coolest stage ever. Rasta Stage !! Big Up !!

So the hard days continue. Tomorrow we´ll leave to Bocas Del Toro, the paradise islands of Panama.

Look me up there ;-)

Hasta mañana , tiro de usted y tan bien !!
