UB40 LIVE IN HONOLULU

Our sweet Hawaiian tour is coming to an end. The last night we left North Shore & Sharks Cove to spend our last night in Honolulu, and to go to see a concert, but just not any concert, UB40 LIVE! RESPECT! The band with hits like Red Red Wine, Can´t help fallin´in love & Kingston Town

It was not the original band setup because they´re not playing together anymore, it was the lead singer with his new band, but it didn´t matter, it was UB40 on stage, thats for sure. The show was amazing and we can all say that we´ve seen UB40 LIVE, thats something to brag about.

The night was perfect, warm weather, nice crowd, sweet location. They played outside at Aloha Tower.

There was 4 pre bands before UB, and they were all awsome. They played some of their own songs but also a lot of old reggae classics, like Lee Scratch Perry, Gregory Issac & Bob Marley. The magic was in the air I can tell you that, we had a great time and it was the perfect way to end our sweet visit to amazing Hawaii, we´ll be back, thats a promise!

Enjoy the pictures and the video. It´s all shot with my 5 year old Olympus camera, so the quality isn´t the best at night time, so please, bare with me.

Now time for a few hours sleep on the hotel room floor, before I have to be at he airport at 6 am.

Next Stop Costa Rica !! Yeah, Pura Vida !!

Rasta Love // David

Lookat the video, the quality is not he best, so turn down your volume a bit. I think you´ll get an idea of how is was anyway:

And with this we say goodbye to Hawaii for now, but like I said, I´ll be back

And to end the visit with UB40, well thats just magic.

So now, back to the hotel for some sleep.

Tomorrow the destination will be Costa Rica, Yeah!! Pura Vida!!

Adios // David

The remaining members of UB40 are very much still together and touring with Duncan Campbell (Ali's other brother) as the lead singer. If you really want to see UB40 looking and sounding the same, if not better then check out www.ub40.co.uk.
Ali may have the original voice but his new band is not a patch on the genuine article, and with Duncan at the front it sounds just like it has always done. Don't be fooled by what Ali is telling everyone, the original UB40 is still together and better than ever and touring the world.
